Juanita Wheeler
Juanita Wheeler has coached over 100 TEDx speakers in addition to CEOs, entrepreneurs, authors, researchers and change-makers to deliver presentations worthy of their great ideas.
Juanita is a public speaking coach, speechwriter, the CEO of TEDxBrisbane and Founder of Full & Frank.
Juanita has over two decades of speaking experience, is an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Queensland, and a Global Fellow with the Atlantic Fellows based out of Oxford University. Juanita has three Masters degrees (two in business and one in social change leadership).

How long does it take to complete the course?
There are six lessons, each with a Full & Frank video lesson (10-20 minutes) and an accompanying workbook that walks you step-by-step through the process, so you can turn what you learned in the lesson into your own practical resources for landing your dream speaking gigs.
The course is on-demand and self-paced. You have access for a full year, but most people complete it within the first month if not the first weekend. I typically recommend people set aside an hour a lesson, though times will vary from person to person.
Will I receive a certificate when I'm finished?
Absolutely. My learning platform tracks your progress as you make your way through the course, and lets me know when you’re done – so I can send you a certificate for your resume and LinkedIn profile. (I also do a celebratory lounge room dance for every graduation).
Are there any Q&A support sessions?
Absolutely. Several much-loved students asked for it, so from May 2024 I now include access to live monthly Q&A group video calls. They last for one hour, and are held in the first week of each month (please check your local times):
- Pacific Time (LA, USA) – Monday 4pm
- Eastern Time (NY, USA) – Monday 7pm
- AEST (Brisbane, Australia) – Tuesday 9am
You can send questions in advance, or simply raise your (virtual) hand during the call. I will record the session, and it will be available for current students to access until the next month’s Q&A. You will only be able to access it via your Library on my secure learning platform at https://learning.fullandfrank.com/library

Can there be a session at a GMT-time-zone-friendly time?
If at any time we have a collection of people enrolled in the course who would attend one (or more) Q&A sessions in a GMT-time-zone-friendly time, I’ll make it happen. The same applies to any other time zone where the standard time for the Q&A call is in the middle of the night for them.
Until then, you can send questions in advance and I can answer them during the sessions for you, and you can watch the replays. You can also fast-track a mini-cohort by encouraging friends and colleagues to do the course with you.

Should I take this course first or book a one-on-one coaching session?
It is up to you, but I highly recommend people start with the ‘How to Get the Gig‘ course, whether they’re just getting started in public speaking or have been doing it for years, and need to revisit the strategic essentials.
The course provides comprehensive self-paced learning and is jam-packed with expert insights and practical tips and strategies. It also comes with a live monthly group Q&A session, so you can jump online and ask questions.
Having said that, if you prefer, or you’re looking for highly personalised guidance, goal setting, script development and feedback, you might be ready for a one-on-one coaching session.
What if I try it out and it’s not for me, can I get a refund?
The short answer is yes. I know How to Get the Gig will give you the knowledge and tools you need to land speaking gigs. But, if, for some reason, after your first two completed lessons, it doesn’t feel like a fit, email me, and I will give you a full refund.
Here’s how it works: Complete the first two lessons. If you don’t feel confident and motivated by your future ability to book gigs based on the information you’ve gained, reach out to [email protected], show me you’ve put in the work and completed the worksheets for the first two lessons, and I’ll refund your investment.
